Unemployment in Teton County in December emerged as the highest in the state, despite the beginning of the winter tourist season here. According to the state’s Department of Workforce Services, the jobless rate here totaled 8.4% which was down 3.7% from November and a half of a percent from the same month in 2010. Sublette County remains the best place to find a job in the state with an unemployment rate of 3.2%. Statewide, unemployment remained unchanged from November at 5.8%. Teton County, Idaho posted a jobless rate of 7.2%.
