Still Not Enough Snow
Last week’s storm dumped copious amounts of snow on northwestern Wyoming, but the Natural Resources Conservation Service says it still wasn’t enough to bring the snowpack in the river drainages here up to 100%. This week’s report indicates total precipitation measured in the Snake River Drainage is still only 88% of the 30-year average, the Upper Yellowstone-Madison Basin is recording 96% of the norm, and the Wind River Drainage stands at 87% of normal. The water content in each of the drainages is about six percent lower.
