Yellowstone Visitation Up in January
Yellowstone National Park is reporting nearly a one percent increase in recreational visitation during January compared with the same month last year. That nearly matches the number entering the park in January 2009 which at that time was the highest number seen during January since 2003 which was the last season prior to the imposition of winter use restrictions on over snow travel in the park. Most of that increase was seen through the north entrance to the park through Gardiner, Montana where an increase of nearly 10% was seen. As yet, no statistics were posted for Grand Teton National Park.
