Former Rep. Cubin Visits WY Senate

Cubin

Former US Representative Barbara Cubin paid a visit to the Wyoming Senate yesterday and was given a moment to address the lawmakers.  Cubin says at a time money is tight, she is proud of the way Wyoming knows to hold the line on spending.  Cubin told the Senate that as she watches the national media’s coverage of what is currently going on in Washington that it reminds her that Wyoming just does things right.  When funds are short, she said, instead of spending more and borrowing more, Wyoming cuts spending and saves money and prepares for its future.  She concluded her brief comments by simply urging the lawmakers to, in her words, “keep up the good work.”  The legislature began work on the budget biennium in both the Senate and House yesterday.
