GTNP Touts NPS Careers

Grand Teton National Park announced plans to again sponsor an innovative program called NPS Academy designed to introduce college students to career opportunities with the National Park Service and other federal agencies.  The program is being conducted in partnership with The Student Conservation Association, Teton Science Schools, Grand Teton National Park Foundation and Grand Teton Association.  Grand Teton initiated a pilot program in 2011 for students from diverse backgrounds across the United States.  The program which is conducted during spring break, was inspired by a Department of the Interior initiative in hopes of engaging America’s youth in the outdoors and introducing them to careers as natural and cultural resource professionals.  Grand Teton’s NPS Academy will take place from March 5th through 9th.
