Wyoming Parks In NPS Top 10
The National Park Service has released the ranking of which park units saw the most visitations last year. Not surprisingly, the units on the eastern side of the country were numbered among the most visited. However, when considering only national parks, Wyoming’s two parks were among the top ten. Yellowstone was ranked fourth for visitation and Grand Teton was eighth. Again, the closer the park is to a populated area, the more likely it was to be visited. Consequently, Great Smoky Mountains National Park near the East Coast was number one followed by Grand Canyon and Yosemite National Parks which are easily accessed by those living on the West Coast.
