New Video Touts GTNP

GR Teton

The Grand Teton National Park Foundation has released a new online video featuring some of the year’s most spectacular footage of natural phenomena in Grand Teton National Park.   Day and Night in Grand Teton is the first of four videos in a new series, From Valley to Peak.  The four-minute films were recently completed by Jackson-based videographers Jesse Ryan and Ryan Christopher of New Thought Media on behalf of Grand Teton National Park Foundation and Grand Teton Association. The films are being posted on the foundation’s website to be readily accessible to the public, and the foundation says the other three additional videos will be released on a monthly basis during April May and June.  Foundation President Leslie Mattson explains that the project is meant to connect the public to the park and educate them about its recreational, scenic and cultural resources.

However, because this is a program about the outdoors, I’ll just talk about the things in the outdoors I’m thankful for. There’s plenty of it. Especially here in Wyoming. We’ve got […]
  • Pelts are nearing prime conditions - November 26, 2014
The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer. It’s the amount of daylight, and not the temperature, that causes wild animals to grow longer, thicker coats. If you’re a predator hunter or a trapper, that’s your cue. The pelts are coming into their prime right now, but that doesn’t mean they’re at […]
  • Very Windy in Many Areas, Developing Light to Moderate Snow - November 25, 2014
The I-25 and I-80 corridors and adjacent roads throughout central, eastern and southern Wyoming will see very strong and gusty winds today.  Sustained winds of 25 to 40 mph likely for many areas with gusts to 60 mph or higher in the wind prone locations. Light to moderate snow shower activity will also be increasing […]
