National Park Service Intermountain Regional Director John Wessels announced yesterday that the Triangle X Partnership was selected to for the concession contract to provide dude ranch services for another 13 years in Grand Teton National Park.  The Turner family has provided continuous dude ranch services at Grand Teton National Park since 1950 under the current contract.  However, Grand Teton Superintendent Mary Gibson Scott points out that the family actually has been providing visitors to the Jackson Hole area with authentic dude ranch experiences for over 85 years.  The park service had solicited proposals for operation of the ranch in September, and the Triangle X Partnership proposal was selected under provisions of the 1998 Concessions Management Improvement Act.  Park officials say that act seeks to ensure quality visitor services and protection of park resources are provided by concessioners.
