Egg Hunt Marks Its 44th Year
More than 4,000 colored eggs will be spread around the Jackson’s Town Square Saturday morning for the 44th Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The event was launched by Jackson State Bank and it continued its annual growth under the sponsorship of Wells Fargo Bank after they purchased the local bank. Children aged one to six are encouraged to participate and see what prizes they find in the eggs they claim. At the same time, bank officials say more than 16 costume characters will be circling the square prior to the hunt, passing out candies and posing for pictures with children. However, participants are cautioned that the event begins at 10:30 sharp, and historically, the event is over within just a few short minutes. Following the hunt, Wells Fargo Bank is sponsoring two free youth-oriented movies at the Jackson Twin Cinema.
