Yellowstone Visitation Slightly Up
Yellowstone National Park has reported an increase in visitation during March, although the park was for the most part inaccessible for most of the month. With the winter season ending about mid-month, only access through the north entrance was consistent through the month. Still, the National Park Service Public Use Statistics Office reports that recreational visits increased by 1519 individuals for an 8% increase. More significantly, however, the agency reports that park visitation year-to-date is up over 3% from the same period last year which had experienced a decline over previous years.
