Redistricting Plan Facing Lawsuit

April 12, 2012 Lincoln County, State of Wyoming No Comments
Cooper

The state of Wyoming is in a state of limbo again with regard to the redistricting plan adopted by the legislature last month.  Some municipalities in the northeastern corner of the state and an individual in Lincoln County have challenged the plan in a lawsuit a week ago.  State Senator Stan Cooper of Kemmerer told KPIN radio that state officials are trying to expedite the settlement of the case due to election deadlines on the horizon. He says we only have until May 14th for people who want to register to run.  The lawsuit charges that state lawmakers went out of their way to make sure incumbent state senators didn’t have to run against each other, and it further accuses the plan of failing to give less-populous counties fair representation.

  • Back to normal at the trap range - April 17, 2014
By some strange luck, I shot really well last week in our trap league. But last night, I didn’t do so well. Not even close. The thing about shooting trap is that you’re bound to have good rounds once in a while. Those good nights give you hope that you’re improving. For some people, that […]
