Comment Period Extended
Bridger-Teton National Forest has extended the public comment period on the True Oil exploration proposal approximately 22-miles northwest of Big Piney in Sublette County. True Oil is proposing to drill one well each from two well pads. One is from an existing well pad that would need to be expanded; the other is from a pad that has been reclaimed and would need to be reconstructed. At the same time, a third existing well pad would be expanded to hold a 65,000-barrel freshwater reservoir for drilling and completion. Before the Bridger-Teton begins its Environmental Assessment of this proposal, the Forest is seeing any concerns or comments from the public. Written comments must be received by May 15th in the Big Piney Ranger District office.
