Summer Travel Begins On Caribou-Targhee
Summer Travel Regulations went into effect Monday for the Palisades Ranger District of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. Local conditions are becoming suitable to support vehicle traffic on most roads and some trails without causing resource damage. District Ranger, Rob Mickelsen asks that users stay on designated travel routes and use good judgment regarding travel on roads and trails not yet sufficiently dry to prevent resource damage. As such, Mickelsen strongly advises against traveling on Skyline Ridge Road #077 and Kelly Canyon Road #218 due to snow drifts and wet conditions there. Travel information is available from the Palisades Ranger District Office in Idaho Falls.
