610 and Cubs Back At It in GTNP

grizzly-road

The warmer weather has brought out some local celebrities in Grand Teton National Park.  Grizzly 610 and her three cubs delighted visitors to the park over the weekend with scores of visitors looking on as the three cubs romped and wrestled near Oxbow Bend on the northern end of the park.  Rangers in the area met with the onlookers, answering their questions and assuring they kept their distance from the four.  Park officials remind that with the bears out of hibernation now, park visitors need to assure they remain at least 100 yards away from the bears, and when they hike or spend any time out around the park that they carry bear spray and know how to use it.
