Little Change In Unemployment Here
Even as the unemployment rate in Wyoming dropped a tenth of a percent from February to March, the unemployment rate in Teton County increased by as much. Still, the unemployment rate here is 6/10 of a percent lower than during March of the previous year. According to the state Department of Workforce Services, the state unemployment rate is now 5.3% compared with 8.2% nationwide. Teton County’s rate of 6.6% is about average for the state. The best county in which to find a job last month was Sublette County where the jobless rate was 3.5% in March. Wyoming’ unemployment decline marks the seventh consecutive month joblessness has decreased.
