Yellowstone Road Repair Under Way
Even as Grand Teton National Park is opening its interior road, Yellowstone crews are scrambling to repair a section of the Grand Loop Road south of Canyon that washed out earlier this month. Park Spokesman Al Nash says it appears that repair can take place relatively quickly and crews anticipate having that segment of road open again by Friday morning when the East Entrance is set to open. In the meantime, Nash says visitors can still enjoy views of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone by traveling along the North Rim Drive. However, viewing locations along the South Rim Drive such as Artist Point won’t be accessible until road repairs are completed.
