Water Supplies Near Normal Here
The Wyoming Natural Resources Conservation Service this week is reporting the surface water conditions in the extreme northwestern corner of the state are near normal while surrounding areas are below normal. According to a chart posted by the University of Wyoming’s Water Resources Data System, most of Teton County has been classified as experiencing an “incipient wet spell” while the surrounding counties are experiencing a “mild drought.” Currently, the reservoirs along the upper Snake River are filled to 81% of capacity collectively, while those reservoirs west of the Tetons are for the most part already at or near 100% of their capacities.
