The Town of Jackson has been notified there will be yet another anti-abortion demonstration along local highways prior to the return of Operation Save America May 16th through 20th.  Missionaries to the Pre-Born have notified the town that they will be hosting pro-life demonstrations in Jackson on Monday.  The group outlined that they will be at 900 West Broadway from approximately 10:45 am until 12:30 pm and at the intersection of Highways 89 and 22, the “Y,” from approximately 4:30 until 6:00 pm.   No other demonstration locations or times were identified during discussions with the group.  Mayor Mark Baron urges residents to be tolerant of these groups when they are here.  Barron says whether or not we agree with the message of this group, or the way in which they communicate their views, we need to respect their right to express their beliefs both verbally and through images while preserving safety in the community.  Meanwhile, officers from the Jackson Police Department will be monitoring the demonstrations by both groups to maintain public safety and protect the rights of both the demonstrators and local residents as afforded under the First Amendment.
