Airport Statistics Still Low
Reports from the Jackson Hole Airport indicate travel through the facility last month continued to be less than spectacular. Those arriving by commercial flights into the valley numbered one percent fewer than during April in 2011 which had shown a 2% decline from the same month in 2010. Meanwhile, while those catching flights out of the valley increased by 2% last month, that was only a slight improvement over the same month in 2011 when enplanements slipped by 15%. Altogether, travel by plane both in and out of the valley has declined by 11% year to date from levels seen in 2010.
