Tomorrow marks the 20th annual St. John’s Medical Center Community Health Fair in Jackson, offering more than a dozen free health screenings for adults and children and a variety of family activities.  Health Fair Coordinator Julie Heemstra says there will be no shortage of things to do. Those activities include helicopter and ambulance tours, car safety seat checks and a teddy bear clinic. Those free screenings at the health fair include vision, dental, hearing, skin, blood pressure, body composition and nerve scans.  Jackson Police Department will also collect expired, unused or unwanted prescription medications for destruction as well.  Heemstra says last year, over 4000 people participated in the health fair  blood screenings and over 1500 showed up for the health fair activities.  This year’s event takes place from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday at the Snow King Arena.
