e-waste

As Teton County observes clean-up week, the county recycling center is offering to dispose of residents’ electronic waste for half price this week.  According to Spokesperson Heather Overholzer, electronic waste – TVs, video players, stereo systems, radios, computers and their peripherals, telephones and so forth – will be accepted at the recycling center Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm, and no appointment will be needed.   Overholzer emphasizes that electronic devices are banned from the Teton County Trash Transfer station and the Sublette County landfill because they contain hazardous materials.  The Recycling Center is also offering to recycle cell phones, chargers and other hand-held electronics free.
