Sublette County Wants 3 Commissioners
Voters throughout Sublette County went to the polls to vote on whether to have three or five County Commissioners Tuesday. The outcome of the voting, with 45.88% of registered voters voting, was 974 voters wanting three County Commissioners, and 832 voters wanting five County Commissioners. Some time back, voters in Sublette County voted to increase the Board of County Commissioners from three to five, but before the 2012 election could be held, another petition surfaced, asking to go back to three Commissioners. Sufficient signatures were received on the petition, and that resulted in a special, one-issue, election held on Tuesday in Sublette County. The Pinedale area favored five Commissioners, but the Big Piney/Marbleton area heavily favored three Commissioners.
