New Fire Inspector Named

May 15, 2012 Jackson Hole, Teton County, Town of Jackson No Comments
Borgeson

Jackson Hole Fire/EMS has filled a position vacated last November when Kathy Clay was promoted to Fire Marshal.  Fire Chief Willy Watsabaugh says Eric Borgeson has served as Captain for Station One over the last five years and brings considerable experience to his new role as Fire Inspector. Watsabaugh said, “Captain Borgeson brings a wealth of experience and education to this position.  Coupled with his energy he will be a great addition to the Prevention Bureau.” Borgeson was also awarded the Hometown Hero Award in 2011 by the Town of Jackson. Watsabaugh says the inspector position entails conducting fire code and safety inspections of new and existing structures; coordinating and conducting public education programs; performing site, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm plan reviews; and assisting with fire investigations. Watsabaugh says the department has been restructuring the prevention bureau and with those changes, he says this was a good time to fill that position with additional duties in public education. Borgeson will begin his new role June 4th.
