Jackson Resident Barbara Allen has announced that she will run for the vacancy left by Andy Swartz on the Teton County Commission. Allen is a seventeen year resident of Jackson Hole and a successful business woman.  She has been appointed three times to the Town of Jackson Planning Commission and has twice been elected as chairwoman.  In 2010 she chaired the joint Town and County Comprehensive Plan meetings.  As such, Allen says she wants to be there to ensure that the county maintains incentive- based programs with the end goal of permanent conversation and wildlife protection.  Allen is a long time member of Jackson Hole Trout Unlimited and currently serves as its Vice President.  She is also the Republican Party’s East Jackson Precinct Chairwoman.
