Confrontations With Protesters Few
Jackson Police report only a limited number of encounters related to the demonstrations yesterday by members of Operation Save America. In a day’s end report, the town reported that local law enforcement fielded numerous complaints regarding general disturbance, the graphic nature of images displayed, noise and traffic. Police also conferred with the demonstrators about the placement of their signs. Police say incidents connected with the demonstrations resulted in one careless driving citation when a car swerved toward demonstrators and citations for the destruction of private property when two individuals spray painted a vehicle being used by the protest organization.
