Demonstrators Picket Local Churches
Anti-abortion demonstrators shifted their attention from the main streets of Jackson Sunday morning to local churches. According to the Jackson Police Department, the focus for the demonstrations was the Presbyterian Church, River Crossing, First Baptist Church, and the Community Bible Church. Protesters were concentrated at the main Rafter J entrance, High School Road, and South Park Loop Road The Jackson Police Department shifted their public safety efforts to these areas, monitoring activities and responding to conflicts, complaints, and calls of concern. Operation Save America concluded its activities as of noon. The police department expressed appreciation to the community for the level of civility demonstrated by residents throughout the protests.
