Fatal Fire Investigation Continues
The investigation continues into the fire in Victor, Idaho last week which claimed the life of a 33-year-old Victor man, destroyed the home and a vehicle parked next to it. According to Fire Marshall Bret Campbell a Victor fire engine was on scene within minutes but could not save the structure. County officials say George Hoffman apparently died of smoke inhalation while his father escaped with minor injuries. Ultimately, Campbell says the efforts involved three water tenders and one engine each from Victor, Driggs and Tetonia. Campbell says the point of origin has now been traced to the front porch of the structure, but a specific cause of the fire has not been yet determined.
