Special Olympians Bring Home Gold

Wyoming Special Olympics has finally released the results from the summer games conducted May 10th through the 12th in Laramie.  Ten athletes from Teton County brought home first places in their divisions and the basketball team from Teton County took first place at the games as well.  Among the individual champions are Ivan Alva-Alvarado for the 100 meter dash, Brenden Burke for the running long jump, Conner Clark for the softball throw, William Dennis for the 50 meter walk, Collin Grande for the standing long jump, Rubin Gutierrez  for the 200 meter dash, the 800 meter dash and the running long jump, Shane Holton for the 50 meter dash, Sammi LaBounta for the 800 meter walk, Christopher Thompson for the 200 meter dash and Nicholas Stern for the 50 meter dash.
