Special Olympians Introduced To Gymnastics

Axis Gymnastics & Sports Academy today hosts local Special Olympians for a gymnastics workout and exhibition.  Led by Head Coach, Alex Bontecou, Axis Gymnastics team members are volunteering to accompany the Special Olympics athletes as they train on different gymnastics events and experience competitive gymnastics; including vaulting, tumbling on floor, balancing on beam, swinging on bars and jumping on trampoline. The Special Olympians recently returned from the summer games in Laramie with a large number of gold medals, but had no competitors in the gymnastics events. Coaches at Axis say they hope they can help change that.
