Rainy Weekend Had Benefits
Weekend rain and snow has provided a much-needed “shot-in-the-arm” for Northwestern Wyoming where average moisture conditions were already beginning to degrade. According to the Natural Resources Conservation Service, precipitation in the Snake River Basin is now 93% of normal, the Madison-Gallatin basin is at 115% and the Yellowstone Basin is at 104% of the 30 year norm for this time of year. Snow water content likewise has improved in the last week with area reservoirs now entering the summer collectively 86% filled and continuing to fill.
