Stanford To Run For Town Council
Popular blogger and former newspaper reporter Jim Stanford has launched his candidacy for Town Council. The 41-year-old Stanford cites three issues he is particularly concerned about: growth & development, fiscal prudence, and transportation planning. Stanford says while he supports the concept of moving development away from sensitive rural areas like Buffalo Valley, the county needs to be careful how to accomplish it as the Town of Jackson has a character to be protected as well. He says he would also like to see START bus service to Jackson Hole Airport during peak travel times. Stanford, a Democrat, has been a resident of the Town of Jackson for 20 years.
