Filing Ends For 2012 Elections

The filing period for those wishing to run in the race for town and county offices closed at 5:00 pm with a total of nine individuals filing for town council alone.  Among those were council candidates Emy diGrippa, Steve Harrington, Greg Miles, Mark Obringer, Phillip Cameron, Hailey Morton, Jim Stanford, Kelly Egan and Jim Genzer. Incumbent Mayor Mark Barron has filed for election unopposed. In the Teton County Commissioner race, candidates who have filed include Paul Perry, Barbara Allen, Claire Fuller, and Melissa Turley.  Keith Gingery will run unopposed for state representative district 23, Republican Ruth Ann Petroff is being challenged by Republican Bob Biolchini for district 16 and Republican Marti Halverson of Etna is running unopposed for district 22 due to a filing error made by Incumbant Democrat Jim Roscoe. Senator Dan Dockstader is running unopposed. In national races,  Republican US Senator John Barrasso is being challenged by Republican Emmett Mavy of Alpine, Republican Thomas Bleming of Lusk, Democrat Al Hamburg of Torrington, Democrat Tim Chesnut of Laramie and Democrat William Bryk of Brooklyn. New York.  Republican US Representative Cynthia Lummis is being challenged by Democrat Chris Henrichsen of Casper.
