Gasoline Prices Remain High
While gasoline prices nationally continue to decline, those prices here seem to be stuck at their higher level. According to AAA Auto Club’s Fuel Gauge Report, the national average going into the weekend is $3.53 per gallon compared with $3.72 a month ago. In Wyoming, the average is now $3.59 per gallon of unleaded regular. Prices in Jackson Hole average $3.67 per gallon according to surveys by Motor Trend, while the average in Teton Valley is $3.82. AAA explains that refining concerns and a tightening supply has put upward pressure on gasoline prices in the Rocky Mountain region, but those concerns seem to be diminishing now and the club anticipates declines in the future.
