Granite Creek Road Construction Continues
The Bridger Teton National Forest continues working on road maintenance and enhancement operations on the Granite Creek Road from the swimming pool down to the Little Granite turn-off, and work there will continue through July 16th. The surface of the road is being treated with a mobile rock crusher that will effectively create new aggregate in place and remove the holes in the road. The road will be bladed and rolled once the crushing operations are complete. Forest officials admit that Granite Creek is historically a popular area during the Fourth of July holiday week. As such, crews will work with the motorists to help them safely through the construction area during the holiday period.
