Fontenelle Fire Now 37,041 Acres

Information regarding the Fontenelle Fire 17 miles west of Big Piney, Wyoming Saturday morning indicated the fire had grown to 37,041and continues to burn in heave, dead timber.  Fire Information Officer Brandon Hampton says the fire had progressed northeast and crossed Fish Creek and down Sawmill Canyon.  Hampton says additional personnel have arrived bringing to seven, the number of 20-person crews on the fire lines and 265 people working the fire altogether. The crews are continuing to expand the fire line along the southeastern flank of the fire and protect structures along the Middle Piney road up to the Middle Piney summer homes and three Forest Service guard stations.  Currently, the fire is about five percent contained.
