Independence Day Activities Abound
While this year’s Independence Day festivities will be lacking the traditional fireworks displays here, there will be plenty of other activities for the community to celebrate the nation’s birthday. It begins with the annual pancake breakfast from7:30-10:30 am. The Jackson Hole Jaycees prepare an all-you-can-eat hearty breakfast on the Town Square for $10 for adults and $5.00 for children. Then the Independence Day Parade steps off from the Rodeo Grounds at 10:30 am and makes its way down Glenwood and Broadway to the town square. A brief concert by the jazz band follows the parade at the town square. Music in the Hole, a free Fourth of July Concert begins at 3:00 pm at Alpine Field and concludes with music by the Grand Teton Festival Orchestra at 6:00 pm. In Teton Village, people can enjoy a concert on the commons by Calle Mambo and rides on the Aerial Tram and Bridger Gondola.
