One More Time For Land Sale
The Wyoming Senate passed the Transfer of Lands bill on second reading Friday morning after considerable debate over a proposed amendment that would have allowed the state to seek more bids for thirty days on the 1400 acres in Grand Teton National Park being sold to the Interior Department. Senator Leland Christiansen told those arguing for the amendment that such a move would negate the contract in place. Ultimately, the proposed amendment was defeated 24 to 5 and House Bill 156 was passed, with the third and final reading set to take place today.
