Tin Cup

An estimated 1500 people joined in the 5th annual Tin Cup Challenge in Driggs, Idaho Saturday – an increase of nearly 25% over the previous year.  Furthermore, says Shannon Hamby of the Community Foundation of Teton Valley, the number of competitive racers more than doubled.  Hamby says a new course record was set by 22-year-old Patryk Gierjatowicz of Victor with a time of 2 hours, 51 minutes, 49 seconds.  While it will be until the end of the month before the receipts are tallied from the event and added to those still coming in, Hamby says the foundation is anticipating those figures will exceed the projected match total for the year.
