Unemployment Plunges In Teton County
Unemployment in Teton County plunged 3.5% last month from what had been recorded just a month before. According to the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, the county saw 5.2% of its workforce idled in June, down from 8.7% in May. That is also slightly lower than the unemployment rate in Teton County in June, 2011. Statewide, the unemployment rate increased 2/10 of a percent to 5.4% Teton’s neighboring counties posted the state’s two extremes – Lincoln county with the highest jobless rate of 7.1% and Sublette County with the lowest at 3.6%. Nationally, 8.2% of America’s workforce is still without work.
