Science School Instructor Dies
An instructor with Teton Science School’s AmeriCorps died Friday night in a single vehicle accident in Victor. 27-year-old Matt Jenkins of Seattle, Washington was ejected when his car overturned on Highway 31 shortly before 11:00 pm. Jenkins was life-flighted to EIRMC in Idaho Falls where he later died of his injuries. Jenkins had moved to Jackson Hole this past spring and taught field science programs for middle school students and was planning to continue working as a field instructor in the fall. The Teton County, Idaho Sheriff’s Office and Idaho State Police are continuing their investigation of the accident.
