Fire Danger Up Again in Yellowstone

fire-very high

Yellowstone National Park has raised its fire danger rating back to “very high,” largely as a result of the number of fires that were sparked by lightning over the weekend and the demand that has put onto firefighting resources.  Park Spokesman Al Nash says four small fires are currently being suppressed in various parts of Yellowstone.  Nash says there are four small fires that were started by lightning strikes in various areas of the park just since the weekend. As yet, the park has not reinstated its limited restrictions, but Nash says the high fire danger rating should be a reminder that everyone needs to be very careful with campfires or even smoking since the potential of fire is greater than normal.

  • Back to normal at the trap range - April 17, 2014
By some strange luck, I shot really well last week in our trap league. But last night, I didn’t do so well. Not even close. The thing about shooting trap is that you’re bound to have good rounds once in a while. Those good nights give you hope that you’re improving. For some people, that […]
