Town to Look at Reduced Speed on Cache Creek.

Due to public input about the dangers of traffic on Cache Creek Drive, the police department recently conducted a traffic study to determine how bad the problem is – Chief Todd Smith said that out of 3000 cars studied, 85% of them were within 5 miles of the 25 mph limit – but he said with the ‘S’ curves and the amount of traffic to Cache Creek trailhead – it was a unique roadway. Local resident Patty Ewing wanted the speed limit lowered to 20 mph and 15mph in the s curves. Town Engineer Shawn OMalley recommended 15 mph along the entire road. The Council will consider at a future date.
