Mountain Lion Management Up for Discussion

by Jackson Hole Radio News

Every three years the Wyoming Game and Fish Department takes up a review of regulations regarding mountain lion population, hunting, and other management strategies.

This year the discussion will take place in Jackson and game officials are encouraging those with an interest to attend and be involved in the review.

The rules, known as Chapter 42 regulations, govern hunting quotas and harvest strategies.

The department is also seeking to simplify rules for disabled hunters and hopes to outline a process to deal with Bighorn sheep and to deal with nongame wildlife management.

The meeting is next Tuesday at 6 at the Virginian Lodge.
