Among them, Snow King Mountain Resort is offering free ski lift tickets for government employees with Federal ID during weekdays until they have to go back to work! The Local Restaurant & Bar offers, with presentation of a government issued ID, anygovernment employed local who hasn’t been receiving a paycheck can come into Local to receive 50% off your entire bill during lunch service from 11:30 to 2:30 and 25% off your bill during dinner service. starting at 5:30. Among other private businesses reaching out is Hole Grocer in Jackson offering a 10% discount to furloughed federal employees for their groceries and a $200 a week line of credit until the shutdown is ended. Haagen Dazs is offering 50% discount on ice cream with a valid government ID and the National Museum of Wildlife Art is offering complimentary admission to furloughed government employees. In Pinedale, the Wind River Brewing Company is offering a no-interest line of credit up to $200 per week on meals and drinks and a 10% discount on the purchases. They simply ask the government employee to let their server know at the time of ordering and they will handle it from there. Area food banks and social services are also reaching out to help the employees through this difficult time.
