Gas Prices Creeping Up

Gasoline prices in Jackson Hole continued to climb over the past week, rising 8¢ from last week’s survey of prices. The average of prices surveyed by Gasbuddy this week totaled $2.98 per gallon of unleaded regular, up from an average of $2.94 last week. This week’s prices in the Valley ranged from $2.94 to $3.10 per gallon. Jackson’s average is substantially higher than the Wyoming state average of $2.69 per gallon which is up 3¢ from last week. The lowest price in Wyoming was found in Gillette where one station was selling gasoline for $2.42 a gallon. Nationally, the Amerine Woodyard of the Energy Information Administration reports the average has increased by 4.6¢ in the past week to $2.89 a gallon.

Pump prices were highest in the West Coast states at 3.67 a gallon, up 4.2 cents from a week ago. Prices were lowest in the Gulf Coast region at 2.58 a gallon, up 4.7 cents.

Gasoline in Teton Valley this remained at $3.15 a gallon.
