Daigle Retires

by Jackson Hole Radio News

Long time Teton County Clerk Sherry Daigle announced Thursday she is planning to retire from that position at the end of this month. Daigle has held that post for nearly 22 years and has witnessed a host of changes within the county while working with a variety of board of county commissioners.

Among the changes over those years, Daigle cites the institution of real-time GIS, electronic recording and block-chain of land records. She also points to the adoption of absentee polling places and vote centers as well as the Help America Vote Act of 2002. At this time, Daigle says she believes the county needs some new blood and energy leading the County Clerk’s office. Daigle made her retirement official with a letter of resignation to the board of county commissioners.
