Old Bill’s Results Coming Soon

Although this year’s Old Bills Fun Run for Charities didn’t look anything like its 23 previous years, more than 200 of the valley’s non-profits participated in one way or another – and how much was raised will remain a closely-guarded secret for another month. Participating organizations created websites to promote their causes and some dressed up and waved signs around town. Spokesperson Anne Bradley says, “Since so much of this year’s event was virtual and remote in nature (and without registration required) we don’t have concrete numbers on the number of ‘participants’ like we usually do.” In lieu of the regular race on September 12th, the Community Foundation surprised the community with a Rubber Ducky Regatta, during which 200+ rubber ducks representing the Old Bill’s nonprofits were sent racing down Flat Creek in the first-ever Old Bill’s Rubber Ducky Regatta. The luckiest ducks won grants for their nonprofits. Winners of the regatta and the final total of donations through last Friday won’t be revealed until at the awards celebration on October 26th. Over its previous 23 years, Old Bills has raised $173,720,537 for Jackson Hole’s non-profits.
