Covid-19 Closes Yellowstone Lodge

by Jackson Hole Radio News

Due to recent incidences of Covid-19 in the Old Faithful area, and out of an abundance of caution, Xanterra Parks and Resort announced Old Faithful Snow Lodge operations closed yesterday. This includes the rooms, food services and gift shop at Old Faithful Snow Lodge. Any employees who have tested positive or have presented symptoms will be quarantined per CDC and local public health guidelines. As part of the contact tracing process, employees who have been known to interact with those individuals will be contacted by the local health department and quarantined as necessary. Meanwhile, those guests with previous reservations for stays can request a relocation to the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, depending upon available space, by completing an online request form. Otherwise, those reservations will be automatically cancelled and the refunds processed. During the upcoming winter season, the Snow Lodge will be open for day-use only, including food and gift shop, but no winter lodging will be available in the Old Faithful area. The Madison Campground also was closed over the weekend due to recent incidents of COVID-19.
