The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Tetons, Gros Ventres, and mountains of Yellowstone National Park saying to expect heavy snow at times with 35 to 45 mile-per-hour wind gusts and bitter cold temperatures over the weekend.
A strong cold from continues to push winter conditions south into Jackson Hole.
The impact of the system is expected to begin tonight with snow expected late Saturday.
As much as 14 inches of snow could accumulate in the Teton Range with 8-12 inches in Yellowstone and the Absaroka range.
Wind-chill temperatures will likely be below zero by Sunday morning.
The Winter Storm Warning is in effect tonight through Saturday night.
