Legacy Lodge Assisted Living Center in Rafter J has announced plans to close effective March 31st. In a news release this week, the company stated, the campus has been serving Jackson Hole seniors and their families for over 15 years, and during the years of involvement Nye Health Services has loved being part of the community and these families. However, with about half of the apartments empty, the facility’s existence can’t be sustained. Only 36 of the 57 apartments are currently in use.
The Nye team pledges to work directly with families to transition residents to other offerings. A second priority of the Nye team is to help their 36 employees find work in local healthcare settings or at one of Nye’s other campuses.
Nye Health Services CEO Russ Peterson, says “Thanks to insightful and compassionate leadership at St. John’s Health, we are exploring very good options to transition some of our residents and employees to the Living Center and ultimately Sage Living.”
There are no specific plans for the future of the building, but Peterson says Nye’s intent is to find an alternative use that will benefit the Jackson area community.
